Next Wednesday November from to : p.m. the Indio Juan Author's Gathering of the Ateneo Primero de Mayo Trade Union Foundation will be inaugurated in its virtual version through the Zoom platform. Manuel Rico a well-known and beloved writer at the Ateneo º de Mayo Trade Union Foundation with which he frequently collaborates will participate in this inaugural session. Manuel Rico is one of the great writers poets and novelists of our time a columnist in different media and President of the Collegiate.
Association of Writers ACE an organization from which he defends the interests and makes visible the problems of Spanish writers in everything that refers to the recognition and defense of their rights. He has published a good number of novels UAE Phone Number poetry collections travel books essays and poetic studies with which he has obtained numerous awards and recognitions including the Gómez de la Serna Prize the Miguel Hernández International Prize the Ciudad de Irún Prize or the National Prize for the Promotion of Reading for his radio program Libromanía.
The event will begin with a speech by Manuel Rico who will read some of his texts and explain his vision of the impact of the pandemic on the work and life of writers after which a discussion will take place. The event will be moderated by Agustín Sánchez Antequera director of the publishing house El Sastre de Apollinaire and editor of the books The Density of Mirrors and Tiempo Salvado del Tiempo by Manuel Rico.
